So today, I'm taking a break from the Iceland posts to talk about my most recent purchase, my new Koolertron backpack. While it may seem like your standard blue backpack, it actually has a secret.
Unzip the bottom compartment and there you'll find a removable camera bag. With adjustable partitions included, you can customize for the size and shape of your camera and lenses. Two small pouches on the top keep your memory cards safe from scratches. It's so easy access everything I need when it's organized like this. Less time digging around my backpack means I can get my camera out quicker and I'll get the shot I want.
The top compartment is also pretty practical. It has a pocket for laptops, books, and extra space for any snacks or goodies you might need on a day out shooting. I love being able to carry my laptop and camera around together in just one bag. I tend to be sort of a pack mule when I go out, so anything that makes my life easier really helps.
The thing I like most about this backpack is that it is very inconspicuous. Often when carrying my big camera bag around in the city, I feel like I have a huge target dangling from a single strap off my shoulder. This backpack has made me feel more secure about taking my camera out all day.
It's the perfect day bag for home or abroad. I will definitely be packing it for any future travels involving city exploration. However, I probably wouldn't take it hiking. After the camera equipment and laptop, it can really only hold so much and I'd probably need something a little bit bigger and more durable.
